Hello everyone :) Was just wondering how everyone's done on their results? I hope you all got what you wanted, and that everyone's happy.
As for me, it's all good! I'm off to Edinburgh University on 13th Sept to read Spanish and Linguistics, and am so excited XD My results: History (A), Spanish (A), English Language (A), Music (A), General Studies (B) + Critical Thinking AS (B)
Watching Olympic gymnastics at the moment. It makes me feel ashamed to be inept at even a handstand! These girls are good! Congratulations to Louis Smith and the rest of the British gold medallists in everything too. We're now third in the medal table - can't wait to see how we do in 2012 :D
Off to Malaysia in... 3 hours ish. Wooooo! A month in the sun with my best friend :) What better way is there to forget about A level results? See you guys in a while x
How are we all? I hope its not as cold where you are as it is here - I am currently sitting here in clothes and a dressing gown and am fereeeeezing. I wish it'd just snow and get it over with!
Gawd, haven't written anything for ages and ages. Well, I have 3 offers - Sheffield, York and Newcastle all want me next year (yayyyy!) but I still have nothing from Edinburgh :( I wish they'd get on with rejecting me and then I could stress about something else!
Ooooooooh very exciting stuff - my friend Eve and I recently sat down and recorded 2 covers with piano and voice. The piano is obviously me (I can't sing like that!) and Eve sings. Please feel free to download and stuff, although I must warn you that 'Augustine' is a very rough first shot and will be redone and remixed to sound better. I'm really impressed with our little mini recording thingy - it seems to have worked quite well!

It's my birthday! Wooooo! Just waiting for Dad so I can open my one present. But its OK - I can drive my car today - finally! So excited! 17 doesnt feel much different. I'm just kind of on a high, ignoring the fact that I have an English exam tomorrow.
Exams are coming. I can hardly wait! (*extreme sarcasm*) Have already done Spanish speaking and the Nazi paper. Were both OK, actually, which surprises me, since my history has gone downhill somewhat since year 11 :S
How are you all anyway? I hardly ever get an opportunity to post anything on here, or think there's anything worth posting. Despite this, I have nothing amazing to write today, but decided to. Just because.
At the moment, it's 8:27, and that means about half an hour until Ugly Betty. LOVE that show. Was just watching 'Yo Soy Bea' on YouTube. The guy who's the equivalent of Daniel is goregous, so despite me not understanding anything he said, I was glued to the screen anyway.

Just a quick update then. Just came back from Poland - went on a school visit to Krakow to see Auschwitz and Birkenau, and the Jewish sector (Kazimierz). Was...indescribable. I think that if all the murderers and bullies in the world were made to visit Auschwitz, the world would be a safer place.
Mad's party was ace last night. Can't wait for my own 18th!

Today was one of those days. Just one of those days where everything should be good, but the sky is grey, you look like CRAP and feel self conscious. And yet, you have to go out shopping for 5 hours to find some snow boots. Went all the way to Cheshire Oaks and then ended up only finding the boots in Millets in Birkenhead, about 3 hours after setting out in the first place. On the bright side, at least I got them in the end, but it kind of felt like a wasted day, when I could have seen Pete (the bf, if anyone doesn't know) rather than spending the day with my sister. Aah well...
Work tomorrow.

Autumn [Fall] is most definitely my favourite season. I woke up this morning and the red leaves were scattered over my garden, and the Beech has turned from green to gold. I also love the cold (strangely enough), and the smell of fire in the air from my neighbour. I also finally get the excuse to wear gigantic cowl neck jumpers and fleeces and to go on walks with my dog instead of doing homework.
I've just completed my very first CV (I believe it is called a resume in the US?). Unfortunately, I sound really quite hilariously boastful in it...
A conscientious, hardworking individual, I am always keen to take on a task and complete it both enthusiastically and to the very best of my ability. I am punctual and reliable, enjoy working with people and have excellent communication skills. I enjoy learning and can adapt quickly to new situations. I am a positive person, and am excited to take on any new challenge that is presented to me.
Per-leeeease! Ah, well. It'll hopefully get me some kind of job, which is my main aim.
In other news, AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH RESULTS ON THURSDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Terrifying.

I feel so sorry for some people. We all live in a really boring and uneventful place, so there's only a limited choice of things to do. The path that most people seem to take is partying and going to Liverpool every weekend to drink at the Pier. Then stumbling home alone on the train and posting on Myspace to let everyone know how 'drunk is so fun'. Not like we need to be told again - it's the same every weekend (in the holidays at the moment, pretty much every day). It angers me how these people can look down on people who actually do worthwhile things with their time, just because we don't have a different boyfriend every week or get drunk every day in the same place! I'm so SICK of them treating others like shit, especially as 15 years down the road I can see them living in a shitty motel with rotting livers and no jobs. This place really gets to me sometimes.
